Located slightly off the Strip, where it sports a 50-story condominium hotel and spa that offers everything from studios and one-bedroom suites to luxury penthouses, Palms Place and Spa is a Maloof Brothers-owned property that is a popular Vegas hangout for in-the-know travelers and celebrities alike, including Jenny McCarthy, Jim Carrey and George Clooney, to name a few. Palms Place boasts a 50,000-square-foot pool and spa, a 24-hour VIP concierge and its own private valet. Additionally, if you're thinking of gambling, Palms Casino Resort features an award-winning, 95,000-square-foot casino that can be accessed via the SkyTube, a moving walkway that joins Palms Place to Palms Casino Resort. If you're so inclined, you can make your way to the first Playboy Club to open in over a quarter century, located in the Fantasy Tower. The real star of Palms Place isn't the Playboy Bunnies, however; it's Kerry Simon's restaurant, Simon at Palms Place.

Located on the sixth floor of Palms Place, Simon sports as its exterior façade a light wooden wall consisting of elegant, square-shaped wooden panels that are embossed with a motif of convex dome shapes. Additionally, an illuminated green-framed screen highlights the chrome-colored word "Simon." Lit from above by the luminescent screen, the sign introduces you to the "green" theme you'll find inside. Speaking of which, you'll notice immediately that the restaurant's design is natural and sustainable. Upon passing through the main door you'll see to the right a textured wall that's followed by a glass wine cellar. Toward the left, meanwhile, is the hostess station, the base of which is decorated with the same green resin-like material, featuring the same iridescent glow, as the outside sign. Beyond that is the happening bar and lounge area. Finally, if you look directly in front of you you'll get a glimpse of the pool, and if you look directly above you you'll see a fanciful wooden structure with interlocking curved wooden slats and, further down, several whimsical lights.
