Comfort Zone
Ortolan is a gorgeous restaurant, with multiple dining environment options. If you'd like to find out what suits you best, and discover the various little things that will make your experience more enjoyable, please read on.

    Reservations
Reservations are strongly recommended, and are essential for the communal table in the fireplace lounge. You can call the restaurant directly or book online at OpenTable.

Seating
The tables for two are about 26 inches square. Seating includes either round-backed armchairs or a banquette. This banquette is unlike any other banquette you've sat on. It's angled in order to create a more comfortable experience. Once you sit there and taste the food, you might never want to leave.

Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Ortolan is very romantic, and as such, the restaurant is dimly lit. Not to worry, though: If you're concerned about seeing all the beautiful aspects of the cuisine, or about being able to read the menu, a mini LCD flashlight is provided to give you more light. It is not necessarily needed, but it's a lovely and thoughtful touch. Light music is played throughout dinner. There's plenty of room to maneuver and with five types of dining options, the restaurant can accommodate just about any mood you might want to achieve for your dinner. Whether you're after outdoor dining, via the patio; authentic French atmosphere, via the Vault; elegant dining, via the main dining area; cozy and more casual gnoshing, via the bar area; or even private dining, via the fireplace lounge, this restaurant provides it all!

Restrooms
Restrooms are on the same level as the restaurant past the bar, and across from the private dining. There are two, and each is a nicely-sized single unit.

Dress Code
Jackets and ties are not required for men, as the restaurant is meant to be homey. The lovely d├ęcor, however, does make you feel that you need to dress a little bit special for a meal here.

Parking
Valet parking is available for a service charge of $4.50. Otherwise, you need to find your own parking. If you traveled by cab, the restaurant is more than happy to call one for your ride home.

Awards

*Please note that the restaurants featured at TravelsinTaste.com may have changed their personnel, menu, pricing, decor, hours of operation, etc., since our last visit. The competitive and creative nature of the fine dining scene virtually assures that changes will occur on a frequent basis in order to make diners happier, meals more pleasurable and visits more frequent. Given their frequent fluctuations, most restaurants welcome inquiries about their current hours, menu and more.
