The Peninsula Beverly Hills, which has siblings worldwide in Hong Kong, New York, Chicago, Bangkok, Beijing, Manila and Tokyo, opened on South Santa Monica Boulevard in 1991, near Rodeo Drive and beside Beverly Hills' famous financial and shopping sectors. Home to 196 guest rooms, including 36 suites and 16 private villas, it's accommodations - which include impeccable Italian marble bathrooms and state-of-the-art flat screen plasma TVs - are among the most luxurious in Beverly Hills.

It's no surprise, then, that inside The Peninsula Beverly Hills is The Belvedere. Opened in 1991, along with the hotel, The Belvedere is among California's most popular restaurants. In fact, it was voted the "Best Hotel Restaurant in Los Angeles" by Zagat in 2005 and is the only restaurant in Southern California to earn the AAA Five Diamond award for 12 consecutive years. With such prestigious accolades to its credit, one would expect that The Belvedere attracts the upper echelon of hungry Hollywood types. And in fact, during the day that's exactly who you'll find there. At both breakfast and lunch the dining room is teeming with powerful locals, including influential talent agents, entertainment executives and power brokers. At night, however, the crowd is decidedly less corporate, consisting instead of couples and special occasion diners.
