    Bar Area

Upon entering Cafe Gray, you first make your way through the bar area, which has a very comfortable feeling to it, on your way to the main dining room. Like the rest of the restaurant, it includes rich and inviting wood, along with several rows of very interesting, textured, rectilinear pendant lights that hang from the ceiling. The bar itself is mirrored with spot lit glass shelves that highlight the bottles; it's long and rectilinear, although part of it is devoted to a service area. There are small tables in the bar, if you'd prefer them to sitting in the main dining room.

Interior Entrance

Once you leave the bustling shoppers within the Time Warner Center and enter this fine dining haven, it immediately feels as if you're in someone's home library thanks to the rich inviting wood that makes up the walls, the dark spot-lit ceilings, and the cabinets on your left that are filled with books and decanters. Adding to the feeling is the beautiful rug underfoot, in lush chocolate with a gold ivy-shaped pattern around its edges and throughout the middle. Spot lighting from the side of the floors adds to the warmth that emanates from this gorgeous entry, as does the glass that separates it from the bar area, which from afar looks like lace curtains over windows; however, it's actually glass etched in the pattern of lace, a technique that is also used on the mirrors outside the restaurant. All in all, the entryway gives you a very calming feeling upon entering Cafe Gray.
