At Mandalay Bay, located at the end of the casino, by the convention center, is a rather large picture window. Take a step closer and you'll see-and most definitely hear-Stripsteak, Michael Mina's first steakhouse. The concept is that of a "New American Steakhouse," and as such it's not your standard steakhouse. Nowhere is that more evident than in its decor. Hiring famed Japanese design firm Superpotato, which headed the interior design of Sensi at the Bellagio, certainly ensured a successful look for this Strip-based steak haven. That look includes a wealth of Asian materials, which were used in order to bring "a piece of Asian life" to Mandalay Bay.

One of the ways that Stripsteak brings Asian life to its guests is with two resin walls that are in its main dining room. These walls are an imprint of a street in Singapore, a city long known for having the cleanest streets in the world. The resin is backlit by an LED system that produces blue and red light, representative of the feeling of alternating hot and cold. Yellow is also present.
