Comfort Zone
Mancini's is a Tuscan treasure full of fun, music, people watching and simply fabulous food. There are a number of different experiences you can have here, so if you'd like to know a little more about where to sit and what to expect in each dining area before you make your reservation, please read on.

    Reservations
Reservations are always recommended. Although we were able to secure a lunch reservation with minimal lead time, that was off season. It's completely recommended to make your reservations as far in advance as possible for the prime season, which is early November through early April.

Seating
Seating is available both outside and inside at Mancini's. For those who are worried about the hot Florida sun, don't be -- because the patio is covered with a white canopy that deflects the sun, and is air conditioned, 100 percent of the year you'll feel comfortable and not at all overwhelmed by the Florida heat. Seating here is also cozy, and chairs are of an outdoor variety. For those who prefer to skip the action on Las Olas, try sitting inside. Seating and space between tables is intimate, but nonetheless cozy. There are freestanding tables, seating at which includes chrome and leather armless chairs, plus three short booths with cushioned banquettes. For those who want that special evening, try for the corner; this booth is divine.

Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Mancini's is definitely cozy. During the day, music plays throughout your meal. At night, however, Tony Viola graces guests with his guitar, singing romantic Italian and jazz compositions. Outdoors is playful, as one can sit among the star decorated curtains and the strategically placed green plants, watching all of the action on Las Olas. Here, you're safe from the traffic of the boulevard while you enjoy the comfort of air conditioning. At night, you can also enjoy the twinkling lights at one of approximately 20 tables. There's more opportunity to sit outside, but inside -- which seats about 45 -- is clearly more intimate.

Restrooms
The restrooms are off to the side, yet in the restaurant on the same level. Be careful while making your way there though, at times the floor can be slippery.

Dress Code
Although the dress code is casual, as with any fine dining experience, a little discretion goes a long way. We've not noticed any overly casual attire.

Parking
Valet parking is available after 7 p.m. for $5. Otherwise, you can search out local parking on your own.

Awards
Mancini's has been awarded the Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator from 2001 until 2007.

*Please note that the restaurants featured at TravelsinTaste.com may have changed their personnel, menu, pricing, decor, hours of operation, etc., since our last visit. The competitive and creative nature of the fine dining scene virtually assures that changes will occur on a frequent basis in order to make diners happier, meals more pleasurable and visits more frequent. Given their frequent fluctuations, most restaurants welcome inquiries about their current hours, menu and more.
