Reservations
Reservations are strongly recommended for the dining room, but not necessary for the café. They can be made by calling the restaurant directly or on OpenTable.com.
Seating
There are many seating options at Postrio, from the ultra-suede circular banquettes and chocolate-colored leather chairs inside to the velvet-type and red leather chairs in the bar. Chairs in the private dining rooms are armless and upholstered either in chocolate-colored leather or lighter brown fabric. The outside, meanwhile, has woven chairs with red striped cushions. All of these options are highly comfortable. Most chairs are approximately 18 inches in width at their maximum while booths are a comfortable and generous 41 inches.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Postrio is elegant and the restaurant’s recent facelift is an overwhelming success. The restaurant provides numerous options, from the casual outdoor patio café to the more elegant dining room or the sexy lounge. Tables are gracious and gracefully placed throughout, so you have plenty of comfort and don’t feel as if you’re part of your neighbor’s conversation. If you want simply casual and fun, and want to watch the action in St. Mark’s Square, then the café is for you. If you want something a little more refined and not that loud -- although music does play throughout -- then the main restaurant is for you. Service is excellent either way. Our server Richard was not only knowledgeable, but also fun to chat with; he catered to our every need. It should be noted that at Postrio they are very cognizant of everything; if you’re wearing a dark outfit they will effortlessly and seamlessly swap out the white linen napkin for a dark one so you don’t leave with linen on your clothes. Additionally, manager Michael Schwarz was highly knowledgeable, friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful to us. He is truly the face of the restaurant and the face of the inviting, friendly staff in addition to both the gracious Ryun Chastain and welcoming Jerome Dimacali.
Restrooms
The restrooms are in the restaurant and on the same level; no stairs are required.
