Located in the Time Warner Complex, which includes not only the world headquarters for Time Warner, but also the five-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel, luxury condominium residences, a jazz hall with three performance areas and a recording studio, and a shopping "mall" with some of the most distinctive names in retail, including Armani Exchange, Coach, Hugo Boss, Samsung, Whole Foods and William Sonoma. The complex is also the home to a new restaurant and bar collection, highlighting such notable chefs as Thomas Keller, Michael Lomonaco, Masayoshi Takayama, and, of course, Gray Kunz. Upon escaping to the third floor you'll make a left and notice, back away from the bustling shopping crowd, a beautiful oasis. Suspeneded from the gold-framed entryway are gold block letters that spell Cafe Gray, highlighted by spot lighting. Bronze planters with lush greenery are strategically place on each side of the door, which is flanked by door-sized wooden-paned mirrors above which a purple panel helps brighten the Cafe Gray signage. The words are lit up by lovely lights from which emanates a golden hue. There is a small round table outside the doorway on which a silver platter displays two menus and the restaurant's hours of operation. An inviting brown patterned carpet beckons you inside, where you'll find a gorgeous interior entrance that's described in more detail in our "
Appealing Highights" section.
