Executive Chef Alessandro Stratta steers the helm at Alex. And with a pedigree that includes numerous Five Diamond awards, he's the perfect man for the job. In 2005, Alex was selected as one of the "Best New Restaurants in America" by Esquire magazine and in both 2006 and 2007 it was recognized by AAA as a Five Diamond restaurant, one of only four restaurants in Las Vegas - next to Joel Robuchon, Le Cirque and Picasso - to receive such an honor. Prior to Alex, Chef Stratta presided over Renoir in the Mirage Hotel and Casino, which received Mobil's Five Star rating four months after it opened; it was one of only 14 restaurants in the United States with that rating at the time and it received the same accolade every year for the six years that Chef Stratta ran it. Under his direction, Renoir was also awarded the AAA Five Diamond award.
