Las Vegas Hosts its First Restaurant Week September 2- 8, 2007
 
Diners will be given a unique opportunity to enjoy world-class cuisine at a very special price with participating Las Vegas restaurants offering three-course menus for just $50.07 per person. A portion of the price will assist Las Vegas-based Three Square (www.threesquare.org), a non-profit organization created to end hunger within the city by serving an average of 3,000 meals a week to the elderly and those in need.

Participating restaurants and resorts include Craftsteak, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Pearl, SEABLUE, Shibuya, Diego, Emeril’s Fish House, Fiamma, Nobhill and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill (MGM Grand); Aureole and Fleur de Lys (Mandalay Bay); Todd English’s Olives, Shintaro and Circo (Bellagio); Bradley Ogden, Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill (Caesars Palace); STACK and Onda (The Mirage); Fusia and Steakhouse (Luxor); Garden Grill and the Steakhouse (Circus Circus); Nine Steakhouse and Nove Italiano (The Palms); Eiffel Tower (Paris Hotel and Casino); Isla and Social House (Treasure Island); Simon Kitchen (Hard Rock Hotel); Orchid, Aquaknox and Valentino (Venetian); Verandah (Four Seasons) Maggiano’s (Fashion Show) and T-Bones (Red Rock).

Events Include:

Tuesday, Sept. 4th
At MGM Grand - Craftsteak - Tom Colicchio Wine Pairing Dinner
Featuring James Beard award-winning chef Tom Colicchio, guests will enjoy a 3-course Kobe Platinum Beef Menu paired with Southern Wine and Spirits courtesy of Doug Shafer, owner and winemaker of Shafer winery.

Time: 7:00 p.m. reception; 7:30 p.m. dinner
Reservations are necessary for this event and seating is limited. Call (702) 891-5576 for reservations.
Ticket Price: $500 plus tip and tax, $100 of every ticket sale will go to benefit Three Square.
Event will be held at Craftsteak private dining rooms.

At MGM Grand - Nobhill - "The Art of the Perfect Cocktail"
Modern interpretations of classic cocktails such as the Cable Car, Gin Fizz and Yuzu Drop are featured at this late night event. A cocktail menu will be distributed to each guest. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Entertainment: Live Jazz Guitarist
Time: 10:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Cost: $20 per person

Wednesday, Sept. 5th
At MGM Grand - Nobhill - Michael Mina Cookbook Tasting Dinner
Price: $185 (includes tasting menu and cookbook by the James Beard award-winning Mina) Wine Pairing: $65 Seating times: 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

At MGM Grand - Shibuya - Premium Sake Tasting
Shibuya Sake Sommelier Luigi Alberganti hosts this special tasting of 50 super premium sakes from Japan. The evening will feature 50 sakes from Japan’s most important regions. Luigi and his expertly trained staff will be on hand to explain the subtleties of sake. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served. Sponsored by DeLuca, entertainment provided by Taiko Drums
Time: 11 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
Cost: $15 per person

Thursday, Sept. 6th
At Mandalay - Fleur de Lys - Chef Hubert Keller hosts a special dinner
Time: 7 p.m. Cost: $200 Wine Pairing: $80

At MGM Grand - Craftsteak - Scotch Tasting
Craftsteak will feature flights of Glenlivet, Macallan, Springbank, Benriach and Johnnie Walker. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Entertainment: Jazz duo
Time: 10 p.m. until 1 a.m.
Cost: $25 per person
