The Plaza Cafe Capiaux Vintner Dinner
 
Here’s another one for all you Pinot Noir enthusiasts. The Sean Capiaux Wine Dinner is set for Sunday, August 12th. But if you know anything about American Pinots, you probably already know about Sean Capiaux. And if you know anything about Mr. Capiaux, you also know that he’s anything but a one trick pony.

Sean began his career right out of college with degrees in oenology and chemistry. He put them to good use, working for some of the most respected wineries in California and on Long Island’s North Fork. He even did a stint with Houghton’s in Australia.

In 1994, he created his own label, Capiaux Cellars and began to build a stellar reputation based on his extraordinary Pinot Noirs. Two years later, he moved his operation, lock, stock and barrels, into the newly forming, O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery in California’s Howell Mountain appellation. Today, Sean is still working at O’Shaughnessy, making Cabernets for them and creating some of the most celebrated Pinots that California has to offer, under his own label.
