Comfort Zone

For fans of Ol’ Blue Eyes, Sinatra is a must. For those who are not so fanatical about the legendary singer, however, it’s still a fantastic Italian restaurant. Whichever camp you belong to, you probably could use a little more insight into the restaurant and its Sinatra memorabilia in order to maximize the pleasure of your dining experience. To get exactly that, please read on.

Reservations

Reservations can be made by either calling the restaurant or by stopping in.

Seating
Seating is more than comfortable at Sinatra thanks to leather banquettes and freestanding chairs. The chairs are 21 inches wide, which provides ample room for a comfortable dining experience. Tables for four are 42 inches square, which gives you more than enough room to sample several dishes, in case you want to try everything. Tables are generously spaced throughout the restaurant and no one table provides a poor dining experience. All have views of Sinatra and/or the garden. If you care to sit outside, your chairs are a little more weatherproof, but your dining experience will be no less comfortable, as the patio is climate controlled with heaters and ceiling fans. Plus, you get the added benefit of a fireplace!

Atmosphere

The atmosphere at Sinatra is fun, modern and airy with a touch of history. The main dining room is simply beautiful and is a spectacular spot to simply look at one’s surroundings, let alone dine. Music plays and the din does get louder as the evening goes on. Unless you’re in the wine room, therefore, this is not the place for a quiet dinner, but rather for a more jovial celebration. You can almost feel that Frank is there watching over you, and salivating over your menu choices. One thing to note: Our server, Suzanne, was simply the best. She was professional, courteous and knowledgeable; she gave us everything we needed! She can guide you through the Sinatra experience like no other because she’s also a foodie and is therefore that much more knowledgeable about the menu. If you get the chance, ask to sit in her section. No matter where you sit, however, you’re sure to find the overall experience extremely pleasurable.

Restrooms

The restrooms are located literally one step outside the restaurant, but are not accessible from the casino. So technically you could consider them inside the restaurant. They offer same-level access.

Dress Code
Jackets are preferred but not required at Sinatra. No casual attire is permitted.

Parking
Gratis valet parking is available at Encore, as is gratis self-parking. There are also multiple cabs available at the hotel.

Awards
Because Sinatra had only been open for a few months when we visited, we didn't expect it to boast any awards. However, Executive Chef Theo Schoenegger has definitely made a name for himself. His menu at Patina, his most recent restaurant in the Walt Disney Center, helped the restaurant garner a Michelin Star and also earned it a Relais & Chateau rating, which has only been bestowed onto two Los Angeles restaurants. While he was executive chef of San Domenico in New York, it was considered the premier Italian restaurant in the country! We expect to see more great things from Executive Chef Theo Schoenegger very soon!

*Please note that the restaurants featured at TravelsinTaste.com may have changed their personnel, menu, pricing, decor, hours of operation, etc., since our last visit. The competitive and creative nature of the fine dining scene virtually assures that changes will occur on a frequent basis in order to make diners happier, meals more pleasurable and visits more frequent. Given their frequent fluctuations, most restaurants welcome inquiries about their current hours, menu and more.
