Located inside Encore, Steve Wynn’s newest Las Vegas casino resort, Sinatra is the ultimate combination of fresh market ingredients, modern Italian cuisine and traditional fine dining, all wrapped up in a package that bears the name of a true Vegas icon. Upon entering Encore you will be in the midst of its spectacular atrium, which is adorned with seasonal flowers and trees, such as 50-year-old ponytail pines, aloe trees, ficus and fig trees. Follow the mosaic tiled butterflies on the floor to the left, however -- don’t tempt yourself yet by going into the casino, which is directly ahead of you -- and you’ll pass the high limits baccarat area, which is guarded by two crystal peacocks. When you do you’ll see the distinct tomato red wall of Sinatra, which features framed Frank Sinatra mementos like gold records, pictures and personal letters from the likes of Sammy Davis Jr. This is just the beginning of your Sinatra experience, the rest of which awaits ahead of you, beyond the dark sign with white “Sinatra” lettering that’s suspended from the ceiling. Beneath the signs is a beige burlap canopy with green trim and unusual tassels. There are also two columns, each featuring a vertical pattern of circles, that mark either side of the entrance, which features a hostess station directly to the left of it. A fanciful white chandelier with curved arms -- each holding a beige shaded lamp, with a surprise of tangerine coloring on the underside of the shade -- decorates this area. Behind the hostess station is an open white screen through which you can see additional foliage and on top of it is a covered table lamp with a crystal base, which sits atop the hostess station for additional light. After you’ve checked in, two more columns mark you entrance into the lounge area; you can either sit and enjoy the lounge or turn right and head into the main restaurant.

As you make your way into the lounge you’ll first notice its white and black marble floor and its highly polished bar, which has a black background with iridescent specks that’s framed in a pattern of green criss crossing lines. The base of the bar has a light green leather accent. It seats about eight in large, comfortable matching green armless chairs. Behind the bar are glass shelves and behind those is a mirror that spans the width of the bar. The shelves flank a flat-screen television that plays Sinatra classics throughout the evening. The bar is flanked by 9-foot crystal beaded obelisks that were made in Sicily during the 1920s. These were originally located in an Italian restaurant in Paris and now reside here, where they’re just one of many touches that juxtapose modern with antique throughout the restaurant. An old-fashioned illuminated crystal ship sails above the bar from a recessed area in the ceiling, which has a fanciful squiggle pattern in it. Lighting comes from elegant sconces and spotlights. Beyond the bar at the windows are two rectangular tables for two overlooking the outdoor patio that’s filled with flowers and garden statues. Two other tables -- curvilinear and made of green marble that’s framed in dark wood -- are directly opposite the bar, where they provide banquette as well as free-standing seating. The banquette has a white leather seat with a coral- and pink-colored upholstered back, similar to the seating motif in the main dining room. Finally, a large framed picture of Sinatra graces the wall above the banquette.
