Comfort Zone
Andre's is not only a beautiful fine dining experience, but also a delicious one. In fact, it's perhaps one of the best meals you'll have in a long while. With so many beautiful rooms and a gorgeous bar -- a veritable feast for the eye -- you might care to know a little more before making a reservation and ultimately dining at Andre's. If so, please read on.

    Reservations
Reservations are strongly recommended for this popular venue, although the restaurant tries to accomodate walk-ins. It's strongly recommended to make your reservations as far in advance as possible when conventions are in town, or during peak season.

Seating
Seating is immensely comfortable with banquette and graceful curvilinear wooden upholstered chairs. Each room is positioned with just the right amount of tables, spaced in such a way so that the dining experience is neither cramped nor crowded. As a matter of fact, the acoustics are planned exceedingly well. Chairs and banquettes are extraordinarily comfortable and you might just not realize how long you've been sitting when you're finally ready to leave.

Atmosphere
From the moment you enter until the moment you leave, Andre's transports you to an elegant French chateau. You'll never even think that you're in Las Vegas. If you want a loud, boisterous restaurant, this is not your place. But if you'd like a fine dining experience where there is as much to feast for your eyes as there is for your palate, then this is the place for you. Chef Rochat succeeds in making all of his guests feel welcome and special. All the rooms of his restaurant have an elegant, romantic feel to them. And no matter where you sit, the service is seamless! The attention to detail is evident everywhere you look; even at the beautiful bar, however, perfectly set tables are the real star of the show, along with the perfectly prepared cuisine. The drive from the Strip is about a $25 cab ride one way, and it's worth every penny for the $50 round-trip ride. In fact, once you have a taste of the Original Andre's, you'll want to take that ride again and again and again. Charm like this could only be provided in a freestanding restaurant, and its exquisite d├ęcor and cuisine are the hallmarks of Las Vegas' fine dining experience.

Restrooms
The restrooms are inside the restaurant and on the first floor.

Dress Code
For diners, the dress code is resort-evening casual. The restaurant doesn't set rules, just guidelines, and they ask that you show respect for fellow diners by dressing appropriately. Don't fret, though. There's no need for a black tie and tails, just some discretion in your choice of attire.

Parking
Valet parking as well as street parking is available.

Awards
Not only do two of Andre's restaurants -- Andre's and Alize -- have one Michelin star a piece, but Andre's has also received multiple accolades throughout its 28 years. Here are a few: Las Vegas Review Journal, Best of Las Vegas, 2007; AAA, Four Diamond Award, 2007; Las Vegas Review Journal, Best of Las Vegas, 2006; AAA, Four Diamond Award, 2006; Distinguished Restaurants of North America, 2005; AAA, Four Diamond Award, 2005; Las Vegas Review Journal, Best of Las Vegas, 2003; Las Vegas Review Journal, Best of Las Vegas, 2002; Epicurean Awards, 2002; and Las Vegas Review Journal, Best of Las Vegas, 2001.

*Please note that the restaurants featured at TravelsinTaste.com may have changed their personnel, menu, pricing, decor, hours of operation, etc., since our last visit. The competitive and creative nature of the fine dining scene virtually assures that changes will occur on a frequent basis in order to make diners happier, meals more pleasurable and visits more frequent. Given their frequent fluctuations, most restaurants welcome inquiries about their current hours, menu and more.
