WHAT:

On December 9, The Palazzo Las Vegas will celebrate the arrival of the holiday season by unveiling the Arctic inspired winter wonderland display in the Waterfall Atrium at 5:00 p.m. The seasonal décor consists of a 16-foot tall polar bear mother and 6-foot tall polar bear baby, made entirely of 10,000 specially-developed “Polar Bear” white poinsettias. The larger-than-life topiary weighs in at approximately 5,000 lbs.

EVENT DETAILS:

The holiday event, lead by an Ice King and Queen, will begin with the pouring of over 225,000 cranberries donated by Ocean Spray into a water feature continuing with the topping off of the polar bear topiary and snow falling from the ceiling adding to the Arctic theme. Complimentary holiday beverages will be provided by Café Pressé as well as cupcakes from Sweet Surrender, a cupcake and gourmet candy shop at The Palazzo.

WHO:

The general public and media are welcome to join in the celebration and get into the true holiday spirit.

WHY:

To kick-off the holiday season The Palazzo has partnered with Polar Bear International (PBI) to welcome in this joyous time-of-year and debut these environmentally conscious and educational winter displays to raise awareness about the conservation of polar bears.  The “Polar Bear” Poinsettia is developed exclusively by Ecke Ranch and a portion of the proceeds of each poinsettia sold will be donated to PBI.
