Get Your Green on with Live Entertainment, Activities and Drinks

Lady Luck will welcome the ‘luck of the Irish’ (and others) to The Strip this St. Patrick’s Day Weekend when multiple MGM Resorts properties host an array of  live entertainment, activities and food and drink specials that will kindle everyone’s clovers. Celebrate the variety of festivities at the following resorts:

MGM GRAND

Guests may not spot a lucky leprechaun this St. Patty’s Day, but they will be able to enjoy Irish cuisine at the MGM Grand Buffet. With mouth-watering Corned Beef served alongside braised cabbage, red potatoes and baby carrots, patrons will enjoy an authentic Irish celebration in this casual yet elegant buffet. MANDALAY BAY

Concert-goers can revel in green “Madness” with Muse this St. Patrick’s Day. The GRAMMY Award-nominated band will take the stage at the Mandalay Bay Events Center for a night of kilt-rockin’ music. Tickets start at $39.50 and can be purchased at any Mandalay Bay box office outlet and all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (select Smith’s Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino). Rí Rá Las Vegas

Rí Rá Las Vegas, located inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend in full Irish spirit. Live music, Irish dancers, authentic Irish menu items and a parade through Mandalay Bay create a fitting celebration for the Irish pub.

The fun kicks off Saturday, March 16 at 2 p.m. with live Irish music that will continue throughout the weekend’s festivities. Guests will hear several Irish bands including Searson, Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones, Emish, Celtic Connection and Gallowglass, among others. The celebration continues Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m. with a parade through the casino complete with Irish dancers, bagpipers and Rí Rá staff. A $10 cover charge on Sunday will apply to all guests.

Diners can enjoy traditional Irish fare including Corned Beef and Cabbage, a Publicans Reuben, Shepherd’s Pie, Beef and Guinness Stew and more.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Carnegie Deli at The Mirage will serve thick cuts of Corned Beef and Cabbage with boiled potatoes, and a Bailey’s Irish Crème Cheesecake for dessert.

Japonais will make guests’ taste buds do a jig with innovative cocktails including the Shiso Cherry made with Jameson’s Irish Whiskey, cherry juice, simple syrup, soda water and appropriately garnished with emerald green candied shishos.

MONTE CARLO

A little bit of luck along with a lot of traditional Irish Stew can be found at The Café at Monte Carlo. This Irish classic soup includes lamb, baby carrots, potatoes, parsnips, leaks and onion served with the delicious flavors of Irish Soda Bread.

The Pub at Monte Carlo is calling all Irish and Irish-loving folk to toast in celebration with several beverage specials including Irish beers, Jameson shots and Irish Car Bombs. Traditional a la carte bites will include Irish Nachos, Ruben Sliders, Guinness Stew and Corned Beef and Cabbage.

From the traditional feast to festive sweets, The Buffet at Monte Carlo will showcase a wide variety of St. Patrick’s Day delights. Some specialty items will include Colcannon Soup, Irish Pub Lamb Stew, Shepherd’s Pie, Crème de Menthe Cupcakes, Shamrock Cookies and Chocolate Fudge Mint Brownies.

NEW-YORK NEW-YORK 

New York-New York Hotel & Casino will celebrate Celtic Feis, a traditional Gaelic arts and cultural festival, inside Nine Fine Irishmen and on the Brooklyn Bridge Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17.

The St. Patrick’s Day Celtic Feis Parade, featuring bagpipers from Desert Sky Pipe Band and firefighters from around the country, will commence Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m. inside the casino. The festival will continue inside Nine Fine Irishmen with live entertainment and a special menu of authentic Irish fare including Fried Sausages, Shepherd’s Pie, Corned Beef Sandwich, Fish and Chips and Drunken Onion Rings. Throughout the holiday weekend, guests may enjoy entertainment by Patrick Seiben, Sin É Rí - Ra, Limey Barstewarts, Joshua Tree and Michael Bowman. Tickets to the St. Patrick’s Day festival are $25 daily and include admission to the day’s events and one complimentary drink.

All guests 21 years of age or older wearing a kilt on St. Patty’s Day will receive complimentary admission to Celtic Feis and The Bar at Times Square.

To spread additional cheer throughout the city New-New York Hotel & Casino will light the Chrysler Building green March 15 - 17.

Percentage of proceeds from Monday night dinners will be donated to local charities

Chef Angelo Sosa of Poppy Den has scheduled additional dates with local charities for its Meaningful Mondays community-giving program.  The gastropub created the program to raise money for local charities and will donate 20 percent of the proceeds generated every Monday night from 6 to 10 p.m. to a different local charity.

The ongoing program kicked off on March 4 with Create a Change Now, followed by Opportunity Village on March 11, and will continue with a lineup of other local charities including: �

· March 25 - Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Southern Nevada
· April 1 - Epicurean Charitable Foundation
· April 8 - Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation
