The fourth annual FOOD & WINE All-Star Weekend, hosted by Bellagio, ARIA and MGM Grand, returns to Las Vegas October 4-6 with new programming  and even more talented culinary superstars. Renowned sommeliers and mixologists, along with celebrity chefs such as Joël Robuchon, Michael Mina and Shawn McClain, will collaborate on epicurean events as they engage guests in an agenda full of culinary fun. The action-packed weekend includes an educational wine class on Syrah with a Master Sommelier, a cooking demo on how to make sushi ten ways, a once-in-a-lifetime dinner with a Michelin-starred chef, a lively pizza party and more.

Friday, October 4

Ten Ways To Sushi: 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Join Executive Chef Heather Zheng at Shibuya at MGM Grand for an exciting cooking demonstration and sake tasting. Chef  Zheng will educate guests about Japanese cuisine’s most popular fish — the tuna - and will explain its composition. During the process, ten different dishes will be created, each complemented with fresh wasabi, and paired with refreshing sake selections.

First Course:  8 p.m. - 11 p.m.

As the official kick-off party of the eventful weekend, View Bar at ARIA invites guests to sample delectable delights from ARIA restaurants barMASA, Julian Serrano and Sage. Throughout the celebration, guests may sip on refreshing cocktails and mingle with the FOOD & WINE All-Star Weekend participating chefs.

Saturday, October 5

All-Star Brunch: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Celebrity chef talent comes together at AMERICAN FISH at ARIA. Hosted by Chef Michael Mina, guests will enjoy a four-course meal with exclusive cocktail and wine pairings, created by the talented chefs at the resort.

Burger Bash with Joel Robuchon and Michael Mina: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Guests will need a big appetite at FOOD & WINE’s All-Star Weekend’s newest event, Burger Bash. Hosted poolside at MGM Grand, seven of the resort’s restaurants will serve delicious burgers and unique sides as upbeat tunes play throughout the evening. Attendees are encouraged to try a burger from all participating chefs to see which suits their palate. Celebrity judges, including Chef Joel Robuchon and Chef Michael Mina, will determine the ultimate Burger Bash winner.

Syrah That Will Change Your Life: 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Led by Master Sommelier and Bellagio Director of Wine Jason Smith, along with incredible producers of Syrah, this will be a lively and entertaining event. Guests will explore the lighter, elegant versions of the wine, from cooler climates to blockbuster, paint-your-teeth selections.

Six-Course Bliss with Chef Joël Robuchon: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Guests will have a one-of-a-kind epicurean experience with “Chef of the Century” Joël Robuchon as he prepares an exclusive six-course menu with wine pairing. At the end of the dinner, diners will receive a Joël Robuchon cookbook, personally signed by the chef himself.

A Harvest Dinner with Chef Michael Mina: 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Celebrity Chef Michael Mina will rejoice in the splendor of the Grand Patio at Bellagio as he prepares a specialized menu using seasonal ingredients and unique flavor profiles along with an exemplary wine pairing to complement each course. Overlooking Bellagio’s luxurious pool, this memorable event will be a highlight of the weekend.

After hours with Shawn McClain: 10 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Not only is Five50 the ideal temperature to cook pizza, it’s the primary ingredient to one smokin’ hot party. James Beard Award-winning Chef Shawn McClain starts the event with savory hors d’oeuvre’s and his own signature pizza, each slice paired with hard-to-find craft beers. A DJ will keep the hotspot alive with fun, upbeat jams lasting long in to the night. It’s what all pizza parties should be.

Sunday, October 6

From Far East to Champagne: Bubbles Meets Fountains Brunch: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Breathe in the exotic aroma of Cantonese, Szechwan and Hunan cuisine at Jasmine while enjoying the picture-perfect backdrop of the famous Bellagio Fountains. Savor fresh ingredients at several live-action cooking stations and have a decadent dessert finish by visiting the chocolate room, with special offerings crafted by Bellagio’s renowned pastry team.

The Italian Trade Commission announces the Italian DINE-OUT, New York City’s first ever Italian Restaurant Week to celebrate Italian gastronomy and culinary arts in the United States through an exciting 11-day dining event. June 26th through July 6th, 23 of New York City’s most authentic Italian restaurants will offer diners exceptional 3-course prix fixe menus at special discounted prices: $26 for lunch and $40 for dinner. To appeal to New Yorkers’ preference for convenience, the Italian Dine-Out has partnered with OpenTable.com to afford diners a one-stop venue to peruse participating restaurants and make reservations.

Organized to commemorate 2013, the Year of Italian Culture in the United States, Italian Dine-Out aims to stir New York City diners’ interest in the city’s many incredible Italian restaurants, offering a summertime respite in dining prices for some of the city’s best authentic Italian fare.

Tony Gemignani, 11-time World Pizza Champion, is bringing his unique concept, Pizza Rock, to Las Vegas.  Slated to open later this summer, Pizza Rock will feature gourmet pizzas in a variety of styles, hand-crafted artisan cocktails and an extensive imported beer and wine list; all served up in an artistic and energetic atmosphere.

“I absolutely love Las Vegas and have many fond memories of the city’s exciting nightlife, food and entertainment scene,” said Gemignani, who visits Las Vegas yearly for the International Pizza Expo.  “I’m especially excited to be in downtown Las Vegas, an area that is undergoing tremendous renovation and becoming a true destination location.”

The 185-seat restaurant designed by Michael Boskovich and constructed by Terra Nova Industries, will offer a variety of Italian and American pizza styles, all cooked in one of the restaurant’s four different ovens, including Neapolitan, Classic Italian, Classic American, Sicilian, Roman, and Gluten Free.  Highlights will include Gemignani’s award-winning pizzas such as the Sicilian-style Burratina Di Margherita (Burrata cheese, cherry tomatoes tossed with basil, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic reduction), which won the Gold Cup Pizza Championships Leece, Italy; Napoletana-style Margherita (San Marzano tomatoes, Mozzarella Fior de Latte, basil, extra virgin olive oil and sea salt), which won the World Pizza Cup Naples, Italy; and Cal Italia (Asiago, Mozzarella, imported Gorgonzola, sweet fig preserve, Prosciutto di Parma, Parmigiano-Reggiano and balsamic reduction), which won the Gold Medal in Food Network Pizza Champions Challenge.

Additionally, a selection of pastas, calzones, Stromboli, antipasti and salads will be offered, all with a focus on authentic Italian ingredients and organically-grown produce.  All fresh pasta will be made on-premises, as will the Sicilian and Calabrese link and bulk sausages.  Pizza Rock will also offer an array of New York slices, calzones, paninis, strombolis, grinders, meatball subs and house-made vanilla soft serve (with toppings from olive oil and sea salt and Fernet reduction to seasonal berries, hazelnut and Valrhona chocolate) that can be ordered and served from the sidewalk; perfect for a quick, convenient bite on the way to work, from a bar, or just enjoyed while strolling the streets of downtown Las Vegas.  Pizza Rock’s full bar will focus on hand-crafted artisan cocktails, an extensive draft and bottled beer list and a collection of wines with a focus on California and Italy.  An Acoustic Sunday Brunch will feature specialty breakfast pizzas but also a twist on classics like meatball hash and eggs, eggs Benedict with pancetta and French toast made with focaccia bread.

While Pizza Rock is a restaurant first and foremost, it’s about more than just food; it hopes to be a destination location where guests will come to unwind, have something to eat, drink, and also be able to sit back and enjoy the scene around them.  There will be an electric energy inside the space, including a tremendous light and sound system, DJs Thursday through Saturday nights and a few additional surprises along the way.  Guests will be encouraged to come for the food and stay for the fun. Pizza Rock will be open Sunday-Wednesday from 11:30am to midnight and Thursday-Saturday from 11:30am to 4am.  Sunday will also feature an Acoustic Brunch served from 10am to 2:30pm.

Join Chef Megan Romano as she presents the bakery’s first pop-up dinner featuring a night of family-style dining set to the sounds of a live DJ. Dray Gardner will join Romano in the kitchen as selections for the social’s menu include a pan-seared tilapia with haricot vert salad, shrimp and vegetable fried rice, and a mandarin orange teriyaki roasted chicken thigh. Side options for the night include braised kale and Brussels sprouts, roasted trinity potatoes and summer panzanella salad while desserts including stone fruit cobbler, salted caramel brownie parfait, mango tapioca and vanilla bean panna cotta, and strawberry watermelon push-pops round out the night.
