Meal
The menu at the Blue Door is eclectic, modern French with Brazilian and global influences and includes flavors from the Caribbean and South Florida. There are two sections of the menu-Les Classiques and Les Nouveautes-and both are comprised of Appetizers, Entrees and Desserts (shown below).

    Lula Ceviche

In addition to the main menu there is a selection of Ossetra and Sevruga Caviar is available at market price along with something the chef calls "Sexy Sides," which are four side orders-a Provencal Cigar (Nappa cabbage filled with ratatouille and a parmesan crisp), Mushroom cocktail (Paris, Shitake, Pleurotus, Girolles, Trumpets, Pearl Onions and Spinach with Cappuccino Cream), Asparagus Tempura and Potato Foam with Black Truffle. Each of these is $8, with the exception of the potato foam, which costs $6. A combination of three Sexy Sides costs $18. There does not appear to be either a Vegetarian or Tasting Menu.

Signature dishes at the Blue Door include: Thon-Thon (Seared Yellow Fin Tuna with Soy, Lime and Ginger Marinated Daikon, in Toasted Sesame Oil; $22) and Homard Banana (Roasted Main Lobster with Caramelized Banana and a Brown Butter Cilantro Lime Sauce; $47), both of which are pictured below.

Gratuity is included only for parties of six or more. Music played in the background during the meal, but is completely unobtrusive. Service is excellent and the wait staff provides both first-rate recommendations and accurate descriptions of the restaurant's signature dishes, some of which are pictured here.

On our visit, we had just one glitch, related to a lack of serving spoons for the Sexy Sides, which was quickly remedied. That aside, the food was very fresh, prepared beautifully and was the appropriate temperature when it arrived at the table. Portions were generous and there did not appear to be any charges for sharing a plate. The wine pour, although not generous, was completely in line with normal standards.

Meal Price Ranges: Glass of Wine $11 - $35
Appetizers $16 - $28
EntrEe $26 - $48
Dessert $10 - $12
