EDITOR'S NOTE: RENE LENGER IS NOW EXECUTIVE CHEF OF SWITCH AT ENCORE, WYNN'S NEWEST RESORT. JAMES BEARD NOMINATED CHEF CARLOS GUIA, MOST RECENTLY THE FORMER CHEF DE CUISINE AT SW STEAKHOUSE AND A VETERAN OF LE BERNARDIN, LUTECE AND COMMANDERS PALACE TO NAME A FEW, IS NOW AT THE HELM OF THE COUNTRY CLUB

The Country Club doesn't require an interview in order to join; here, everyone is welcome, for lunch, dinner or simply for a weekend brunch. Acclaimed Executive Chef Rene Lenger has taken the restaurant and made it his own. After his colleague, David Walzog, left to take over SW Steakhouse - another Wynn Property, for which you can see our full listing by clicking here - Chef Lenger took his place at the helm of The Country Club. Relaxed and casual, the restaurant is a cross between a classic steakhouse and a fine dining restaurant, with a few culinary surprises for those who want a little bit more zip with their meal.

The Country Club has something for absolutely everyone. In addition to the prime cuts of meat that comprise all traditional steakhouse menus, Chef Lenger prepares dishes from his accolade-winning past as a chef in Vienna, New York, Houston and Palm Beach Gardens, not to mention from his experience as a cookbook author. Don't worry, though: This hybrid of the American steakhouse does not gather moss, as Chef Lenger changes his menu seasonally and runs daily specials in order to make it more enticing for those who are in the mood to dine in this comfortable atmosphere again, again and perhaps again. While you're perusing the diverse and ever-changing menu, be sure to look up every so often in order to enjoy your view of the magnificent cascading waterfall on the 18th hole of the golf course outside; it's a majestic site that just might take your breath away, if the food hasn't already done so.
