Comfort Zone
Located in one of Hollywood's most prestigious hotels, The Belvedere is intended to provide diners with an experience that's elegant, luxurious and refined. Dining should always be comfortable, too, however. Read on, therefore, for some quick tips that will make your visit here all the more pleasant.

    Reservations
Reservations are strongly recommended.

Seating
Seating at The Belvedere is comfortable, not crowded. Indoors, you can choose from chairs and banquettes. The former are made of cream-colored wood and upholstered in green fabric while the latter are made of leather, the same cream and green hues as the chairs. Outside, chairs are metal with khaki colored cushions. Tables are square inside and out, though inside there are also a few round tables to choose from. Space between all of them is ample enough to move about comfortably, but small enough to still qualify as intimate.

Atmosphere
The atmosphere at The Belvedere is refined. This is fine dining, after all, and everything from the china on the walls to the white-coated wait staff is a reminder of one's sophisticated surroundings. During the week, a live pianist plays nightly indoors, livening up the dining room a tad; outside, though, there is no music, creating an atmosphere that's considerably more tranquil.

Restrooms
The restrooms are out of the restaurant and down the hall on the same level.

The dress code is business casual.

Parking
Valet parking is available at the hotel.

Awards
Not only is The Belvedere located within an award-winning hotel - the Peninsula Beverly Hills is the only hotel in Southern California to earn both the AAA Five Diamond and Mobil Five Star awards for 14 consecutive years - but it has garnered several awards on its own merit, including: "Best Hotel Restaurant in the Continental U.S. and Canada," Travel + Leisure magazine; AAA Five Diamond Award, for 12 consecutive years - the only restaurant in Southern California that can claim such a distinction; "Best Hotel Restaurant in Los Angeles," Zagat, 2005.

*Please note that the restaurants featured at TravelsinTaste.com may have changed their personnel, menu, pricing, decor, hours of operation, etc., since our last visit. The competitive and creative nature of the fine dining scene virtually assures that changes will occur on a frequent basis in order to make diners happier, meals more pleasurable and visits more frequent. Given their frequent fluctuations, most restaurants welcome inquiries about their current hours, menu and more.
