Comfort Zone
Restaurant Guy Savoy brings a little bit of Paris and a lot of epicurean delights to the Las Vegas Strip. And with a view of the Vegas replica of the Eiffel Tower, it's never too far away from its French roots. Being one of the most elegant restaurants in Las Vegas, and one of the city's most sought after reservations, you might wonder how best to plan for your ultimate culinary experience. If you'd like to learn the ins and outs of Restaurant Guy Savoy, please read on.

    Reservations
Reservations are strongly recommended, if not essential. You can make reservations about three months in advance; if you want to ensure a reservation, you should make one at least three weeks in advance of your planned visit.

Seating
With seating for about 75, you might expect Restaurant Guy Savoy to be tight. On the contrary. Seating at Restaurant Guy Savoy is among the best in Las Vegas, with comfortable upholstered wooden chairs and large tables. It's impossible to feel cramped or crowded in this restaurant, which is absolutely perfect for that special occasion.

Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Restaurant Guy Savoy is elegant and understated. Understated should not be misconstrued as lacking, however, as all the little details here are very well thought out, playing well to the exquisiteness of this fine dining establishment. The main dining room is intimate, with room for 75 diners; the two-story ceilings add to the charm and deflect any inkling of claustrophobia. Although small by the grand Las Vegas standards, where even 120-seat restaurants are considered compact, this restaurant is proof that good things come in small packages. Generously sized tables are elegantly placed throughout the main dining area, along with comfortable chairs and small benches for ladies' purses. The décor is elegant, yet not overdone. One gets the feeling that the real décor here is the food, and that nothing in the restaurant should detract from it. Noise is minimal and you never feel like you are being rushed. Service is seamless; it's absolutely first rate and highly personalized. You're made to feel like a king, and you'll remember the experience for a long, long time.

Restrooms
The restrooms are located within the restaurant, off to the side. Don't run back to your table, though; even though you will love your food, and won't want to miss a minute eating it, you must take your time navigating the highly polished marble floor between the dining room and the restroom. By the way, there is a lovely attendant to assist you with towels, so make sure you're prepared with a gratuity.

Dress Code
Business attire is required and jackets are recommended for men. Every time we have dined at the restaurant we've noticed that this dress code has been adhered to, and even improved upon. Guests take their attire very seriously.

Parking
Complimentary valet parking is available at the hotel, both at the main entrance and at the Flamingo Road entrance, as are multiple cabs. Additional parking is available at the self-park structure behind Caesar's Palace. If you're ending your meal at the same time as one of the shows at Caesar Palace is letting out, you might want to allow extra time to get your car or enlist a taxi.

Awards
Restaurant Guy Savoy has not only achieved Michelin Two Star status for 2008, but also achieved prominence on several top "best of" lists, including lists created by Bon Appetit and Gayot. It was named "Best New Restaurant" by Esquire, which named it one of "60 Things Worth Shortening Your Life For" in May 2007. Among other honors: Newsweek, "Best Restaurant in Las Vegas;" Newsweek and Travel + Leisure, "One of the Finest [Restaurants] Anywhere in the World," April 2007; Conde Nast Traveler, "Hot Tables," May 2007; Robb Report, "Best of the Best," June 2007. Finally, Restaurant Guy Savoy was one of only six restaurants nominated for the James Beard Award for Best New Restaurant in 2006; it was the only Las Vegas restaurant nominated.

*Please note that the restaurants featured at TravelsinTaste.com may have changed their personnel, menu, pricing, decor, hours of operation, etc., since our last visit. The competitive and creative nature of the fine dining scene virtually assures that changes will occur on a frequent basis in order to make diners happier, meals more pleasurable and visits more frequent. Given their frequent fluctuations, most restaurants welcome inquiries about their current hours, menu and more.
