The Blue Door is located in the rear of the Delano Hotel. After you enter the hotel on Collins Avenue, you'll find the restaurant at the end of a long dark hallway that is framed by dark walls and cherry wood-paneled floors, which are punctuated by 24-foot thick white columns and floor-to-ceiling white draperies. The hallway has an ethereal presence that's in tune with Starck's "white on white" concept for the hotel. The lobby and a portion of the hallway are filled with eccentric furniture by the likes of Charles Eames, Salvador Dali, Tom Dixon and Antoni Gaudi. At the end of the hallway and to the left is the Blue Door’s formal dining room, the focal point of which is a modern white chandelier seated above a reflective counter between tables in the center of the room.
