Meal
Having been a family-run restaurant and one of very few thriving Spanish restaurants on the Upper East Side since 1972, Malaga's proven that it knows what neighborhood residents want. Its reasonably-priced menu is extensive, featuring an abundant variety of cold and hot tapas, appetizers, soups, salad, specials, seafood, meat and poultry, not to mention -- yes, there's more -- a variety of regular and ice cream-inspired desserts. Of course, there's also sangria, wine, beer and a full bar that serves specialty drinks in addition to old favorites. If you're just in the mood for something light, watch how much tapas you order, as portions are very generous. Meat lovers and vegetarians can coexist with ample items to suit both their palates. Please note: This is not a formal Spanish restaurant. Far from it, in fact. But while it's not considered gourmet, it’s certainly the most authentic Spanish food in the neighborhood and your best bet for choosing from a wide variety of freshly prepared tapas.
