    Noodle Bar

Tucked away toward the back of the Zine, in a semiprivate area, is the Noodle Bar. Created of luminescent onyx, the intimate curvilinear bar is simply elegant. Behind it is a sunset hued luminescent wall/window with open cabinets holding various oriental vases. There's a small convex shelf underneath the cabinets that holds a beautiful thin glass vase of exotic flowers. The accoutrement of every upscale bar these days is a flat screen television, and although this is not a liquor bar, there is a flat screen television where one can keep apprised of what's happening in the world while they are in this Asian oasis. Above the Noodle Bar's cabinets is a similar curvilinear screen as mentioned in detail below. It adds the perfect colorful touch to the Noodle Bar.

Screens

One of the most fascinating effects you'll see at Zine is apparent right after you enter the restaurant to the left. It’s a large luminous sunset hued screen that gently curves around the left side of the restaurant as you're walking to the back. It's a richly colored screen that is lit within from the bottom. It sits at the top of the main dining room's large banquette and rises to the ceiling. Thin dark wood frames filigree the entire screen into abstract shapes while dark wood divides the screen into curved rectilinear sections, both horizontally and vertically. The effect is one of elegance that's enhanced by lighting: The bottom looks tangerine while the top looks red, which is known as a "lucky" color in Asian society. There's another screen -- about half the size -- to the right as you pass the larger screen. Opposite the noodle bar, it houses another banquette/booth, in addition to a few other booths in the back where you can sit and enjoy all of Chef To's creations while basking in the exotic light.
