Clogs
Outside the entrance to CarneVino are some telltale signs that this restaurant is co-owned by Mario Batali, which his most enthusiastic fans will quickly recognize. Sitting right outside the entrance, for example, is a table with a paisley cloth and a wicker basket that holds menus. Additionally, there are menus in leather holders showing the specials of the evening. There's also a small goblet holding business cards. The piece de resistance, however, are the orange signature Crocs -- the bistro shoe model that Batali himself has endorsed in connection with the popular brand of shoe, a replica of what Batali is so well known for sitting on a dark wooden pedestal. If you want some Crocs of your very own, these are available online and in retail stores in more than Chef Batali's flagship orange color, in case your wardrobe is a little less vibrant than his!
