    Original Pablo Picasso Artwork

Picasso the restaurant is home to a collection of original artwork by Picasso the artist, rumored to be valued at about $50 million. The collection includes not only the beautiful paintings that adorn the walls, but also a collection of hand-painted plates and some rare tile work. The bold and exciting colors of each painting offer a feast for gazing eyes in between courses. There's even a book that demonstrates and describes each piece, so if you see a picture in the book you'd like to see in person, your server can certainly point it out for you. Just like at a museum, though, these paintings are for looking, not touching; if you tried it, you'd probably be reaching over a fellow diner or, worst case, setting off the security sensors that are strategically placed in order to protect the valuable collection from itchy fingers.

View of the Bellagio Fountains

A 34-table restaurant, Picasso has multiple elegantly-draped floor-to-ceiling windows, arch-shaped with complete and stunning views of the spectacular Bellagio fountain show. The Fountains of Bellagio were conceived of by Steve Wynn, who wanted an exciting "attraction" for visitors, yet wanted this attraction to retain the romantic aura of the Bellagio. Located in the center of the eight-acre lake at the front of the property, this show spans 1,000 feet in length and includes over 1,000 choreographed water performances, illuminated by 4,000 white lights that are programmed individually. The fountains dance to the music, which encompasses a variety of genres—depending on which show you're seeing, you may hear opera, showtunes, classical and even popular music. You'll note the swaying motion of the fountains to certain music, whereas there are sharp staccato movements to others. Always, they are a breathtaking, commanding performances. Picasso's outdoor patio is separated from the bar area by French doors, where you can step out and enjoy the music and show unobstructed, great for those who want to take some pictures home with them. Weather permitting, you may dine out on the patio, but then you'd miss the beautiful Picasso paintings inside. The fountains dance the night away, weather permitting, every 15 minutes after 8 p.m., and every half hour before that while the restaurant is open.
