Meal
Did you ever think that you'd be able to enjoy a Wolfgang Puck breakfast? Better yet, a Wolfgang Puck breakfast beside some of the most beautiful pools and fountains in Las Vegas -- and the world -- with a view of the sun-kissed Strip? Well, you do exactly that at Puck's first breakfast venue in Las Vegas: Riva, Poolside Dining by Wolfgang Puck. You can also do it, however, at the newly opened Solaro at Vegas' newest hotel-resort-casino, the Palazzo. There, it's even more chic than its sister, Riva, at the Venetian. At Solaro, you can enjoy Puck’s famous House Smoked Salmon and Soft Scrambled Egg Pizza for breakfast and then stick around in order to try one of his other fanciful creations for lunch. And what's more, in between you can enjoy a smoothie, a glass of fresh fruit juice or a mid-morning cocktail. Puck, the uber-chef, made his Las Vegas debut with Spago in 1992 and his name has been unforgettable ever since. To be sure, his entree into the Las Vegas fine dining scene made the destination a culinary hot spot, marked with indelible ink on the nation's culinary map. His Wolfgang's Eating, Loving and Living (WELL) program was the first to be in full compliance with Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) recommendations, and the menu at Solaro is completely in line with this program. It includes a juice bar with a fusion of flavors that can't be missed and also features some of Puck’s tried and true specialties, such as the aforementioned House Smoked Salmon Pizza, as well as some new and interesting creations, such as the San Daniele Prosciutto, served with roasted asparagus, poached egg, ciabatta and fontina cheese. The menu also includes plenty of snacks and cocktails; if you'd like a drink to cool you off from the hot desert sun, or perhaps a small bite, stop by the pool’s to-go window or relax in its bar/lounge area, where you can sit beneath a ceiling yet still remain "outside." Vegas' newest secret location has a beautiful view of the Palazzo pool deck; and although it’s not one of Puck’s better known venues -- yet -- it is nonetheless a quality and fun venue. Taste and Enjoy!
