Located on the third-floor pool deck of the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino, situated alongside almost four acres of one-of-a-kind pools, Jacuzzis, fountains and exotic horticulture, Solaro isn’t a restaurant that you’ll just happen to walk by and notice. In fact, unless you're staying at the Palazzo complex, you’d probably never know it was there. But of course, now you do, as this find is one that we simply couldn't keep to ourselves. It’s a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining experience that combines elegant atmosphere with delicate dishes, including classic pizzas and refreshing juices and cocktails. The restaurant is situated on prime real estate at the entrance to the Palazzo pool deck, Las Vegas' only pool deck with a view of the Strip, and is a foodie's dream come true. That's because the cuisine is not normal poolside fare. It's born of one of Vegas' founding culinary fathers, Wolfgang Puck, and is therefore extraordinary. So, when you've had enough of the casino and want to take advantage of the fresh air, dramatic views and, of course, a delicious juice, lunch, breakfast pizza or other culinary concoction, Solaro offers the perfect diversion.

You'll reach Solaro by walking out to the third-floor pool deck at the Palazzo. Immediately, the restaurant surrounds you on either side. Once you enter through the doors from the Palazzo itself, you have wrought iron screens on either side of you. Featuring a pattern of interlocking circles, they're decorated with pulled white drapes. Directly in front of you, meanwhile, is a majestic swimming pool and an adjacent pool bar behind it. If you happen to enter Solaro from the pool deck you'll have another, just as engaging, experience. The outside of this semicircular space is surrounded by potted lush greenery and dotted with marble columns on pedestals. You'll note right away that you have multiple dining options, as you'll immediately see the "outdoor" dining that's located beneath an "awning" of slats. You can enjoy similar "semi-outdoor" dining beneath a proper ceiling by the large doors that provide entry to the patio. This option is to the right as you enter the restaurant from inside the Palazzo; toward the left is the lounge area, which is described in more detail below. Past both of these areas is a true outdoor dining area with views of the largest of the Palazzo pools. Or, if you simply can't give up your prime spot at the pool and want to continue worshipping the sun, you can pick something up at the "To Go" window.
