Seating
A variety of seating options are available at Morels, including banquette seating at either end, freestanding armless leather chairs, semiprivate banquette seating and even tall armless pub chairs at the bar. Additionally, outdoor seating is available in wood-framed woven chairs, or in couches in the outdoor lounge. All are comfortable, so depending on your mood, one of them should do the trick.
Atmosphere
Light music plays throughout the day at Morels, where you truly feel as if you've walked into post-war Paris. The restaurant is bistro style, but without pretense. There are several different personalities to it, including the more casual lounge, the slightly more formal dining room and the refreshing outdoor patio. Tables for four generally are about 36 inches wide. If you prefer to be more "out of the flow," take one of the semiprivate, semicircular banquettes against the wall, where you can enjoy a little more privacy than is offered by the tables elsewhere in the dining room. The room is well lit thanks to natural sunlight that streams through the dining room's two-story windows; there are two types of draperies, however, to keep the sun from becoming too hot or too bright. Servers are responsive and attentive, and are very helpful when it comes to navigating the menu. Ours, Roger, was particularly helpful. Morels is a large bistro-style restaurant that is very well lit, although it does provide several intimate touches, such as tableside service, that make you feel as if you are a VIP customer, even if it is your first visit.
Restrooms
The restrooms have same-level access as the main dining room and are toward the back of the restaurant.
