Comfort Zone
Todd English's Olives offers a contemporary dining experience that's full of fun, fanciful food and fabulous views of Lake Bellagio, including its infamous fountains, as well as of the shoppers along the Via Bellagio shopping promenade. If you'd like to know a little more about where to sit and what to expect before you arrive, please read on.

    Reservations
Reservations are strongly recommended, if not required. They are accepted up to 90 days in advance, but you are advised to make them as soon as you can. The patio doesn't take reservations, so if you want to have that unobstructed view of the Fountains of Bellagio, it's best that you arrive early or simply wait at the bar until a patio table opens up.

Seating
There are a variety of seating options at Olives, including banquette, freestanding chairs, bar stools or wrought iron outdoor chairs. Seating is relaxed, as armless chairs are about 18 inches wide, giving you plenty of room to maneuver. These chairs are completely comfortable, as you sink right into the sunset hued velvet-esque fabric. Should you choose banquette seating, you'll be no less comfortable, as you'll be enveloped in the same fabric type, only this time with an olive green pattern and black leather seat. Outdoor patio chairs are wrought iron with woven backs and green cushions. The black lacquer tables for four are about 36 inches wide, which gives you plenty of room to try the restaurant's multiple masterful creations. Space between tables is generous, even if you are seated at a banquette, where the seating is completely suitable.

Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Olives is one of contemporary elegance. You have a variety of dining options, including the bar, the inside dining room and outside on the patio. Inside, you can either sit by one of the glorious floor-to-ceiling windows, where you can gaze outside without any interference from the elements, or you can choose to sit by the front with a view of the day's shoppers strolling the Via Bellagio shopping promenade. Or, perhaps you'd just like to sit somewhere in between and gaze at all the action. Inside seats about 210 people and tables are nicely placed throughout the restaurant so that you do not feel as if you are on top of your neighbor. You can also sit closer to the action at the bar, or farther from it, beyond the separation that's created by the banquette, with a row of tables situated between two large rust colored textured columns. Light music plays throughout lunch and dinner hours, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Restrooms
The restrooms are outside the restaurant, just across the hall, and on the same level as the restaurant.

Dress Code
The dress code is casual; as with any fine dining experience, a little discretion goes a long way. We've not noticed any overly casual attire.

Parking
Complimentary valet parking is available at the hotel, as are multiple cabs. Additional parking is available at the self-park structure behind Caesar's Palace.

*Please note that the restaurants featured at TravelsinTaste.com may have changed their personnel, menu, pricing, decor, hours of operation, etc., since our last visit. The competitive and creative nature of the fine dining scene virtually assures that changes will occur on a frequent basis in order to make diners happier, meals more pleasurable and visits more frequent. Given their frequent fluctuations, most restaurants welcome inquiries about their current hours, menu and more.
