Dining in the Heart of the Action

Located within the bustling casino in the MGM Grand, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill offers a modernized take on the traditional bar and grill, with a dining room that must be seen up close and in person in order to be fully appreciated. Swathed in reds, yellows, greens and whites, this very modern space includes tables overlooking the action, as well as more private tables, for those who prefer to sit behind one of the restaurant's sunset-hued glass screens and take a break from their winnings while they enjoy their meal. When you're outside the restaurant and walking by one of the screens, you may notice a flat screen TV with a video of Wolfgang Puck perfecting his craft on the Food Network. If you happen to be outside the bar, you'll notice several oblong circular rings made of branches that separate the casino from the dining area. In summary, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill has it all, including a view of the slots, a view of the entrance to the Ka Theater, where Cirque de Soleil performs, and a view of the restaurant's beautiful glass screens. There's something for everyone's eyes. With so much going on, one might worry about noise; don't, as there are cloth strips on the ceiling that minimize the noise from the casino. You'll still hear-and feel-the buzz from the casino floor, but it's a little softer than if you were standing right in the middle of the slots.

Bar Area

The bar area at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill has seating at both the bar and at tables. The bar itself is polished stone, with veins of natural color running throughout, and is paired white upholstered armless chairs. The bar has a mirrored back with glass shelving that holds bottles of liquor. Martini glasses are suspended from the ceiling via an open rack that's illuminated with spot lighting. Spot lighting also lights the bottles, as well as an interesting beer tap, complete with seven separate beer spigots, that's made of cool, light green glass on which the Wolfgang Puck logo is embossed. On the other side of the green frosted glass you'll note a paned window with racks of wine behind it. Two large flat screen TVs sit above the bar on either side so that you can watch the latest news or the latest game while you're enjoying your cocktail. The bar itself is L-shaped, like the restaurant, and conjoins the two areas of the dining room. Glasses are stored in spot-lit open cabinets, as well as in the aforementioned suspended chrome rack. The window to the main kitchen is directly after the bar.
