EDITOR'S NOTE: THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW CLOSED
David Bouley has opened his first restaurant outside of his signature Tribeca culinary hot zone—and it's made a huge splash. Located in the midst of the spectacular South Florida dining scene, David Bouley Evolution is a truly elegant restaurant in the heart of South Beach. Jacques Garcia, the renowned designer behind such international designs as the pied-a-terre of the Suntan of Brunei, the Hotel Costes in Paris and the Hotel Majestic in Cannes, not to mention Spice Market and Danube in New York, put all his creative juices to work at David Bouley Evolution and designed a visually sensational restaurant. From the gold- and jewel-toned hand - painted glasswork, which resembles the swirling of a magical ocean, to the beautiful yellow hues that decorate the space, making you feel as though you're in an otherworldly place, this restaurant has outdone itself. Of course, the decor isn't all that's delcious; the food - with French, Asian, Spanish and even New England influences-is equally fabulous; what you taste most certainly lives up to the expectations set by what you see.
