Comfort Zone
Per Se is one of the top restaurants in Manhattan and although it's quite expansive and extremely popular, the experience it offers is unmatched in intimacy, as the main dining room has just 15 tables. You definitely want to make a reservation, therefore; and don't expect to get one for the same day, either, or even the same week. The restaurant generally fills up its books the day it opens them to reservations. For more useful information like this, which can help you maximize your enjoyment of Per Se's theatrical dining experience, please read on.

    Reservations
Reservations are absolutely necessary. Reservations are accepted up to two months in advance by calling (212) 823-9335 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Or you can click here to make an online reservation.

Seating
Seating is more than ample - and more than comfortable. You won't want to get up once you've finished your meal, as you will be given all the comforts of home, and then some.

Atmosphere
Although the atmosphere at Per Se is very elegant, your server makes every effort to ensure that you feel completely comfortable at all times. Service is impeccable and seamless. If you don't like something on the menu, or have a food allergy, the chef is happy to accept a substitution. Even if you want extra dessert, you'll get it. We thought these days only tap water was free; here, however, we were able to enjoy as much complimentary bottled water as we wanted. Staff doesn't even give you a ticket when you check your coat; they "remember" you and which coat is yours. It's that kind of service that makes Per Se sparkle.

Restrooms
Restrooms are inside the restaurant and easily accessible.

Dress Code
A jacket is required attire for men. Jeans, sneakers, T-shirts and shorts are prohibited.

Parking
Per Se is easily accessible by taxi, subway or car. A parking garage, Central Parking, is located on 58th and 60th Streets between 8th and 9th Avenues. The rates are: $25, for the first hour; $29, for up to two hours; $40, for up to 10 hours; and $54, for up to 24 hours. Oversized vehicles are $10 extra. There is an early bird special from 3 a.m. until 10 a.m. whereby you can park for up to 12 hours for $20. There are also many cabs at the Columbus Circle entrance to the Time Warner Center, and it is easily accessible by subway. If you so desire, you could attempt to find parking on the street, or in another garage farther away, but spots on the street are few and far between.

Awards
Per Se and Thomas Keller have won multiple awards. The following are among some of the most prominent distinctions that Per Se and Chef Keller have received: Michelin Three Star Rating, 2006, 2007, 2008; Time Magazine, America's Best Chef (Thomas Keller); Wedgwood Awards, World Master of Culinary Arts (Thomas Keller); Food Allergy Initiative, Lifetime Achievement Award, 2004; James Beard Foundation, first-ever consecutive "Best Chef" awards (Thomas Keller); The New York Times, Four Stars, 2004; Restaurant Magazine, Best New Restaurant of the Year.
