Ten friends from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan who had worked in some of the best Chinese restaurants in New York had a dream and made it come true. Now owners of Our Place on New York's Upper East Side, they've been striving for nearly 20 years to give their customers the most satisfying Chinese dining experience. According to neighborhood locals, they've definitely succeeded. Not ones to be complacent, however, they gave the restaurant a makeover several years ago, adding new creations to the menu along with old favorites. What's more, Chef Chen and his team recently introduced a weekend dim sum brunch menu. Always looking for ways to enhance their guests' dining experience, they will omit M.S.G., sugar, salt, corn starch or oil from your food upon request. They are also happy to adjust the degree of spice to your taste. Please read below for a sampling of their menu, including the Vegetarian and Pre-Theater Menus, as well as the weekend Chinatown Dim Sum Brunch Menu.
