Comfort Zone
Wish is exactly what its name implies-a wonderful, whimsical restaurant in the heart of Miami Beach. For an intimate restaurant like this in an intimate setting, diners might want to ensure that they know exactly how to maximize their pleasure. To find out how, please read on.

    Reservations
Reservations are strongly recommended.

Seating
With tables that are approximately 26 inches square, and chairs that are approximately 18 inches at their widest point, seating is comfortable and not cramped. That said, spacing between tables outside is a little more comfortable and roomy than on the inside of the restaurant. Meanwhile, the private dining area in the lobby is a little more spacious than both the outdoor and indoor dining rooms.

Atmosphere
Service is nice and very friendly. It's not seamless, but the staff tries-very hard-to please its customers. Light music plays while you eat. While we did not dine outside in the evening, we suspect that the menu may be difficult to read outside at night and that the music may also get a bit louder during the evening hours.

Restrooms
The restrooms are a bit of a hike; they are outside the restaurant, around the corner and up some stairs.

Dress Code
The dress code is casual chic. Shorts, tank tops, sandals and flip flops are not allowed for men. Men can dress in jeans and a polo shirt, however, and be perfectly comfortable. They are a little more flexible for women.

Parking
There is valet and street parking. The valet will even call a cab for you, if you don't have your own transportation.

Awards
While it has been a recipient of the Mobil Travel Guide Four-Star Award every year between 2001 and 2005, Wish also has boasted a prestigious AAA Four Diamond rating annually between 2002 and 2006. Wish is one of the 50 Best New Restaurants in the World, according to Conde Nast Traveler, and one of the Top 50 Hotel Restaurants in America, according to Food and Wine. Finally, Chef Bloise is one of Restaurant Hospitality's Rising Star Chefs.

*Please note that the restaurants featured at TravelsinTaste.com may have changed their personnel, menu, pricing, decor, hours of operation, etc., since our last visit. The competitive and creative nature of the fine dining scene virtually assures that changes will occur on a frequent basis in order to make diners happier, meals more pleasurable and visits more frequent. Given their frequent fluctuations, most restaurants welcome inquiries about their current hours, menu and more.
