Ceiling
Upon entering Wing Lei's main dining room, one of the first things you'll notice -- aside from the French-influenced Shangai décor -- is the ceiling, which is amazingly elaborate and a dramatic highlight of the room. Multiple layers of circular recesses provide dimension, each layer decorated with circles and semicircular designs in vibrant shades of red, celadon green, deep blue and lavender -- all with gold accents. About half a dozen chandeliers are suspended from the recessed ceiling by thin strands of crystals hung in a cylindrical shape that's lit from within. About two-thirds of the way down, each of these strands is covered by a circular and cylindrical shade; the largest of these shades belongs to the center chandelier, which features red accents. The strands of crystals continue farther down past the shades and end in thin filaments with larger crystals at the end, including larger, yet subtle crystal balls.
