Outdoor Dining and Ocean Views
Cero Restaurant offers spectacular views of the Atlantic ocean. If you care to dine outside in order to enjoy them, there is a commanding open terrace that's framed by white canopies, concrete columns and a railing. From here you can watch the people on the street or the waves as they caress the shore, where palm trees are gently swaying in the wind. The outdoor experience is generous with large tables and comfortable, wide cushioned chairs. If you care to stay inside, you can get a seat at the dramatic towering windows that look out over the patio and, beyond it, the ocean. If there's too much light, there are soft gauzy cloth blinds that can be pulled down to block the glare. Otherwise, you might wind up staring out the window and being mesmerized by the surf.

Mural in the Lobby Bar
One enters the Lobby Bar through the matching elegant steel doors that are directly across the way from Cero Restaurant. The focal point that one immediately notices is a commanding, 13-foot-high mural of crashing waves in various blues, whites and greens, with golden colored clouds decorating the sky. It's both beautiful and daunting, thanks to its $100,000 value. But if you think you've seen it all, there's more: Within the mural, King Neptune and three of his horses are subtly rising from the waves. To native New Yorkers and visitors who have been to the King Cole Bar at the St. Regis New York, this type of commanding painting is no surprise, as there's a similar mural there. This particular painting was created by C. Perreault, a Canadian artist. Now that you know the secret, why don't you see if your dining companions can find King Neptune and his horses? You can even try it here by clicking on the picture and enlarging. We'll give you a hint: Look toward the middle of the wave for King Neptune and in the white foam for the horses.
