South Florida Fine Dining
It used to be rare to find "South Florida" and "fine cuisine" in the same sentence. Now, however, they're a natural pairing, as South Florida has become one of the world's most esteemed culinary destinations. It's even developed its own cuisine, unmistakably termed "Floribbean." A combination of Floridian ingredients with Caribbean influences, this cuisine is most known for its use of high-quality, fresh produce, as well as unique tropical foods. One of the country's most in-vogue neighborhoods, South Beach is a Mecca for culture-hungry globetrotters. This is where the world's highest art, fashion, architecture and food meet America's most beautiful surf and sand and where a unique class of beach-going entrepreneurs, fashionistas, celebrities and trend-chasers has built what's commonly called "America's Riviera." Not to be overlooked, Fort Lauderdale is known not only for its legendary sand, surf and 3,000 hours of reputed annual sunshine; these days it's also famous for its food.
