EDITOR'S NOTE: THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW CLOSED
Mark's South Beach is nestled away in the Hotel Nash – a beautiful 1930s, art-deco building that completed an $11 million restoration in 1999. This lovely hotel harmonizes wonderfully with the soothing respite that Mark's South Beach promises for the ultimate foodie. Mark Militello, the owner of Mark's South Beach, is considered one of the founding fathers of South Florida cuisine and is often credited with bringing this unique cuisine its long-deserved recognition. Militello has received several awards, including a James Beard Award for "Best Regional Chef," Food & Wine magazine's "Ten Best Chefs in America" and a Distinguished Restaurant Award from Conde Nast Traveler. Gourmet magazine has also named Mark's South Beach one of America's Best Restaurants. Militello owns three other restaurants in Florida, including Mark's City Place (Palm Beach), Mark's Las Olas (Fort Lauderdale), and Mark's Mizner Park (Boca Raton). With a menu that changes daily, an open kitchen, and a more low-key atmosphere (it's not a place driven by celebrity sightings), this intimate restaurant (seating is 110 indoors and 30 outdoors) is a serious food lover's paradise. Mark's South Beach serves up gourmet style food for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. For a more detailed description of Mark's South Beach, please click here.
