Located in the 1,000-room Augustus Tower, the latest addition to Las Vegas' notable Caesar's Palace, Restaurant Guy Savoy is a culinary gem in which luscious luxury flourishes. Once you enter the tower-you can also enter through the main hotel, although entering through the tower is both quieter and more impressive-you can either ascend the stairs to the second floor, or take the elevator. If you take the stairs, turn left and you'll see the dark wooden door that means you've arrived at the culinary Eden that is Restaurant Guy Savoy. A menu decorates one side of it and the restaurant's name is emblazoned prominently above it.

As you enter Restaurant Guy Savoy you'll note a rather large glass wall behind which is a truly modern wine cellar that's home to at least a dozen rows of wine bottles. The wine cellar makes for a very impressive entrance to the restaurant, which sports an equally impressive wine list, about 85 percent of which consists of wines from France. In fact, the restaurant has over 1,500 selections, which the sommelier will present to you in the form of a rather large and heavy book that lists each and every one of them. If you'd prefer to sit in the bar and grab a glass, you can choose from a variety of whites, reds and champagnes. The full wine list is available upon request at the bar.

To the left of you inside the entrance to Restaurant Guy Savoy is the hostess station, and behind that the bar and lounge area. Since our last visit, the bar area has been redone; it's now called the Bubble Bar and features a special "Bites and Bubbles Menu." The past several times we were there, this bar area was quite beautiful. Lit with several levels of glass, it was adorned with beautiful wine and cognac bottles that were strategically placed with small votive candles throughout. A gorgeous textured glass vase sat at the end of the bar, which had several extremely comfortable seating options, including small upholstered dark wood barstools, couches and chairs. We hope the restaurant kept the fireplace and the bear, which are discussed in more detail in our "Appealing Highlights" section, when it made way for the Bubble Bar, as both were true treasures.
